Meeting minutes April 20, 2006

Call to order   20 members present. No nominations for “Dumb Thumb” award. Jim Rogers still has it.

Minutes last meeting  

Copies of last months meeting minutes were handed out to members at this months meeting. A motion was made by Pete Haughwout to accept the minutes as presented and seconded by Dick Pierce

Treasurers Report  The treasurer’s report  completed  March 31, 2006 was read off by Treasurer Ralph Savino copies were given to both Pres. Dennis Reeves and Sect’ry Bill Antonio for recording in the Squadron Archives.  Motion to accept the report was made by Russ Gilgen and seconded by Dick Pierce

Membership Report  Club membership stands at 136. New Membership cards are on the way to those members who haven’t received theirs yet.  Cliff Bischoff is in the hospital and is extremely ill.  Ralph Savino made up a very cheer-full card to send him and we will pass it around to the membership to sign.

Field Safety   Members are reminded that All Transmitters are to be placed in the impound area when arriving at the field and only removed to fly an airplane.  This is stated in our By-laws.

Old Business  The new mowing season has started and the field looks good.  The club looked at a cook shack from an RC club in the Orlando area that is loosing their field. It was decided the expense of moving it to our field was too high and the idea was abandoned.   Instead we will modify our existing

       facilities.

New business   The swap meet will be held on Sat April 22 at 9:00 a.m. There will be a Club 40 race at the Belleview Sky Pirates on May13th   A Club 40 race will also be held at our field on Sat. June 24^th

Open Discussion  Monthly meetings will not be held at Noell’s Hobby shop until further notice due to renovations  Please go to the field at 6:00 P.M. instead of the usual 7:00 P.M..

50/50   $33.00 was collected.   $17.00 first place was won by Wayne Linfield   $10.00 gift certificate to Noells’s Hobby shop 2^nd  prize was also won by Wayne Linfield
