 December 20, 2007 Meeting Minutes
Leesburg Community Center

Call To Order:  7:05 P.M. - 27 Members present.

Sec. Report:   November minutes were approved by vote.

Treas. Report:  Tom Craig - The treasurers' report was reviewed and approved by the attending membership.

Membership Report:  Ralph Savino - The current SES membership is at 165 through Dec. 2007.  This is up approximately 10 from last year.

Field Report:  Don Baisden - A handicap parking area will soon be designated for the N/S runway area.  It will be near the shelter.  Dirt will be brought in for the access road to the N/S runway area as this has been a low lying area.  The entire field is in very good shape.

Field Safety:  Dave Woodward & Pratt Carter - Everyone needs to be more careful about taxiing out onto the active runway.  Be sure to check for planes on final and for any individuals that may be on the field.  Also, absolutely no flying if mowers are in operation anywhere!!  All mowing is tentatively scheduled for Thursday mornings.  Please be patient if you're trying to fly that morning.

Old Business:  Jack Hostetler - We still need some volunteers for mowing teams.  Please contact Jack.
When the crews are mowing the process would be speeded up if the flyers would pick up the chairs around the pits and place them on tables or under the canopies.

New Business:  Jack Hostetler - A motion was made and seconded to purchase a new riding mower.  A unanimous vote was cast and Tom Craig was authorized to make the purchase.  The club will now have 3 new mowers to work with.  The current slate of officers was nominated to serve another year.  Official voting will take place next month.  Several new informational signs will be erected soon at the field.  The Swap Meet on Dec. 8th was very successful.  About 200 people attended.  The club netted some $650 from the event.  Thanks to those who made it happen.

Meeting Adjourned:  7:45 P.M.

50/50 Drawing:  3 Drawings - $27 Pratt Carter, $14 Pratt Carter, $14 Charles Heddinger
Also the club purchased five $20.00 gift certificates to be given away
and Jack at Noell's Hobbies Wildwood donated five more prizes to be given away
