Membership report We had 167 paid members in 2005. In 2004 we had 187 members, so we dropped 20 members last year. The new frequency pins are quite thick so turn them around backwards to store them in the holders to keep them from putting too much strain on the plastic. If your dues were not paid as of Jan. 15th you are not eligible to fly at the field. Sweat shirts are available for $19 and are available in colors of Blue, Grey and Tan. Henry Shultz is in the hospital for therapy.

Field Safety Taxiing aircraft in the pit area is forbidden Aircraft with engines running must be carried to flight line.

Old business Flying for community service. The Wildwood Cub Scout Pack 360 flying event was canceled due to rain. It will be rescheduled for the end of January.  Fruitland Park Cub Scouts also contacted us and requested to fly bottle Rockets, which our club turned down because of the no open flame rule we have at our field. We have 30 Delta Darts left over from the Wildwood Cub Scout 360 event so Pres Reeves invited them to come to the field and use them instead. The road gravel we put on our access road seems to be working very well, the road is not washing out during heavy rains. Thanks to Alex Ogilvie for making all those connections to do this job. We have recently acquired two new neighbors Rick Anderson and Mr. Mrs. Tyler they are building new homes along our access road and they are R.C. aircraft friendly.  Rick Anderson foiled a robbery attempt at our field by alerting the Police. Mr. Tyler spread the gravel and graded our access road, so Pres. Reeves suggests we send him a gift certificate for $25 and a thank you note.

New Business  Election of officers for 2006 A unanimous show of hands voted in favor of all  incumbent Officers. All club officers will be serving another term.

Pres. Reeves called for a show of hands to accept a proposal to hold another flying demonstration for ten Fruitland Park Cub Scout flyers the members voted unanimously to accept the proposal. A time will be selected in Feb.

Safety Officer  Our club is currently in need of a safety officer at the field. Anyone interested please call Pres. Reeves

Fire Ant Patrol  Fire Ants are becoming a problem at the field. One member had an allergic reaction to Fire Ant bites. We need a volunteer to spread FIRE Ant insecticide around the field. Anyone willing  please contact Pres. Reeves.

OPEN DISCUSSION:  Ralph Savino suggested that we schedule this years Swap Meet in Jan. to possibly increase the number of people attending In 2005 we only had 78 paid attendants…If you bring trash with you to the field, take it home with you, someone has to do something with it BE THAT SOMEONE! Also if you see a full trash bag take it over to the waste facility. If the situation doesn’t improve shortly rumors are that the trash cans  will be permanently removed

FIELD ADDRESS FOR EMERGENCES:   The solid waste facility  1200 Jackson st. (south entrance ) Lady Lake Fla. (Lake county)32159   Field Coordinates if needed LONG: 28 degrees 54 minutes 07 seconds   LADITUDE : 81 degrees  56 minutes 02 seconds
