Meeting Minutes March 16, 2006
Call to Order
7:00 P.M. 36 members present.
Including 2 new members. Jim Brill and Sam Gulizia.
Announcements:
Jim Rogers was awarded the DUMB THUMB
award.
Minutes Last Meeting:
The February meeting minutes were
posted at the field and sent by “E” mail to members. A motion was made
by Alex Ogilvie to accept the minutes as presented and seconded by Dick
Pierce.
Treasurers Report:
Treasurer Ralph Savino read the
Treasures report for the end of February 2006. A copy was given to
President Reeves and a copy was given to Secretary Bill Antonio for
recording in the club archives. A motion to accept as presented was
made by Alex Ogilvie and seconded by Dick Pierce.
Membership:
We currently have 132 members. There
were 9 new members this year. Sweatshirts for $19.00 and license plates
for $16.00 are still available. Contact Ralph Savino to purchase one.
Field Safety:
Safety Officer Jack Holister reminded
members to return their frequency pins to the frequency board when they
are done flying. Also please announce when you are taking off and when
you are coming in for a landing.
Old Business:
We have increased the number of mowing teams from 5 to 6. The roster
for teams and mowing schedules are available at the field and sent by
E-mail to the membership. Members who are interested in receiving
E-mail correspondence from the club please give President Reeves your E
mail address.
Ant Patrol:
Ron Mitchell has done an excellent job
of getting the fire ants under control at the field.
New Business:
On Saturday April 8th, there
will be a swap meet at our field parking lot. The admission to sell is
$3.00 a car and no other fee is charged. Bring anything you want to
sell. For more information, contact Jim Rogers or Bob Holbrook. March
25th is the club 40 Pylon race at the Ocala club. June 24th
the club 40 Pylon race will be held at our field.
50/50 Drawing:
$36.00 drawing was won by Lenny Lesnefsky and the $10.00 gift
certificate to Noells Hobbyshop was won by Helen Lesnefsky.
