Meeting Minutes May 18, 2006
CALL TO ORDER:
The meeting was called to order at
6:00 PM.
14 members were present including 2 new members. Jim Youngblood and
Corky Prahler.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Dumb Thumb Award. Although there were 3 planes in the trees no one came
forward to accept the award!!
MINUTES:
The April minutes were posted at the field and sent by e-mail to
members. Krutz moved and Pierce seconded a motion to approve the minutes
as distributed.
TREASURERS REPORT:
Ralph Savino read the Treasurer's report.
Dick Pierce moved and Tom Craig seconded
a motion to approve the report.
MEMBERSHIP REPORT:
2 members were added this month making a total of 16 for the year.
Present membership = 137.
FIELD SAFETY:
Pilots are doing a good job of placing radios in the compound area.
Jack Hostotler reminded everyone to stay behind their pilots stations
while flying.
OLD BUSINESS:
Sky Pirates are out of the Pylon Racing Business. Next event at our
field on June 24. Need 6 volunteers to work the races. We need to build
our own lap counters. Cook shack will be modified. President Reeves is
seeking to move it near the road. Need to get a price on a new shelter
on the N/S runway. President Reeves will seek permission from Waste
Management to install a concrete pad to place the shelter on. Mowers are
doing a good job.
NEW BUSINESS:
There was a discussion about canceling the Club meetings for June, July,
and August. It was moved by Tom Craig and seconded by Dick Pierce not to
hold meetings for those three months. Motion carried. Next meeting -
THIRD THURSDAY OF SEPTEMBER.
