May 20, 2010 SES Meeting Minutes

Leesburg Community Center

 
  • The meeting was called to order at 1900 hours by President Don Neal.
  • The Membership chairman was not present so there was no membership report.
  • The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as distributed.
  • The Treasurers report was received and approved.
  • Don Baisden, Field Manager, urged everyone to scramble the lock combination when the lock has been opened.
  • Ed Popp made a complaint about the mowing time. After much discussion, Don Baisden moved that the mowing time be set at 1100 hours. This was seconded and passed.
  • There was a discussion about the lack of safety on Tuesday and Thursday. It was decided that Ed Popp and Jack Hostetler will assist Dave. Jim Soltysiak will assist on other days.
  • The Hospice Fly-in was a successfull community event. The total amount of money raised was $5,400.00 after expenses. A motion to donate from SES an additional amount to make an even $6,000.00 was made, seconded, and passed. An additional motion to designate that these monies be used to purchase equipment for patient care as per the nurses wish list. This was seconded and passed.
  • There was an announcement that Cliff Bischoff has model equipment for sale. A list is posted at the field.
  • There is an electric fly-in sponsered by the One Wing Low Squadron in Morriston, FL on 5/29-30.
  • The meeting was adjourned at 1950 hours.
