Meeting Minutes Nov. 16, 2006
Call to order:
6:00 P.M.
Announcements:
One new member Travis
Sorenson and one guest Glenn Asher was introduced
Minute’s last meeting:
Minutes were sent to members
by E-mail and copies were made available
at the field. Motion to accept made by Jack Hostetler and seconded by
Charles Hedinger.
Treasurer’s report:
Treasurer Ralph Savino read his report for period ending Oct. 31, 2006
and
provided copies to the Pres.and Sect’ry for the Archives. Motion to
accept made by Jim Brill
and seconded by Pete Houghwout
Membership report:
Present membership is 150, we
signed up three new members and one rejoined
since last month. which brings the total up to 23 new members and 5
rejoins for the year so far.
Old Business:
The cement pads for the cook
shack and the North South runway is still in the works
Ralph Savino is meeting with the Director of Land fill Operations Gary

come and make it look like we have many people using the facilities. The
swap meet is falling together
quite nicely we have had a couple calls from other club members for
tables. Remember club members
get free admission at the swap meet with a valid SES
membership card. The web site is coming along
fairly well many new things have been added and still more work to be
done. The subject of flight
instructors was brought up again, Ralph Savino had suggested that we
offer a $20 credit on dues for
every trained pilot an instructor turns in, and after a brief discussion
the idea was put on hold again
until next meeting. Club license plates, shirts and hats are available
from Ralph.
New Business:
There was much discussion about electing new officers. We need to elect
a president for
sure because Tom Craig may be in the
Middle East
for the next year or so and would find it hard to
maintain that position. Ralph is also looking to be replaced as
Treasurer. These are not back breaking
jobs so if I can plead with all of you please consider keeping the club
alive. Within the next week or
so Tom Craig will have the by-laws up on the web site for your viewing
pleasure. There you can read
what is required of each officer. Please consider it.
