October 15, 2009 SES Meeting Minutes

Leesburg Community Center

Call to order: 7:02 P.M. - 15 members were present.  A quorum was insufficient to conduct business.

Sec. Report: The Sept 2009 minutes were approved.

Membership. Report::Ralph Savino reported that the current membership is 154.

Treas. Report: Tom Craig - Treasurer Report was given by Tom Craig and passed around for members to view.

Field Report: Don Baisden – Don was not present to give a report but Tom Craig and Don Neal commented on the new sweeper which has been used 4 times now. The new building was purchased for the north south runway. Funds from the sale of planes by Jack Noel allowed us to proceed now rather than wait until dues for next year were collected. The fencing damaged by vandals has been repaired. New blocks for the porta pottie have been installed.

Field Safety: Pratt Carter was not present to give a report.

Old Business: Regarding electricity at the field, we are still waiting for Gary Debo. Roof repair of the pavilion still has not been completed as yet.

New Business: Ralph Savino is seeking his replacement. The upcoming swap meet needs 2 table persons and a floor walker. Contact Jack Hostetler for more information. The swap meet ad should appear in the November issue of AMA magazine. Contact the nominating committee if you wish to be an officer. Nominations will be submitted next months meeting with elections in December. Ralph has 18 72 Mhz xmitters for sale for $20 each as well as an assortment of planes. The meeting was adjourned at 7:45 after the 50/50 raffle drawing which was won by Don Neal..
