Meeting minutes Sept.21,2006

Call to order   7:03 P.M.  The meeting was held at the Traingle Boat Club in Tavares, Fla.  Tom Craig has volunteered to be temporary club president and presided over the  meeting. We were all sorry to accept Dennis Reeves resignation due to his wife’s illness.  There were 11 members present

Minutes last meeting The Last meeting was held in May 2006. The minutes were sent to members by “E” mail and copies were placed at

the field to be picked up by the membership

Treasurers report  Treasurer Ralph Savino read his report and presented copies to Pres. Tom Craig and Sect’ry Bill Antonio Motion to accept made by Harry Hovorka , Seconded by Bill Beck

Membership report As of Sept. 20, 2006 we have 144 members including 23 new and rejoined members.

Safety  We had two planes collide at the field last week, one was taking off and one was landing.  Both pilots announced  their intentions but the crashes still happened. Our Saftey Officer Jack Hostotler recommends that pilots should verbally acknowledge hearing announcements made by other pilots

Old Business   Ralph Savino has club license plates and tee shirts for sale.  The club is planning to put down two 18x22 slabs at the fields.  An estimate of $3,200.00 was received.  The solid waste facility director Gary Divo, informed us that we need to submit a detailed drawing of the slabs to his office for review.  Ted Mullins treated the weeds at the field with two gallons of weed killer.  He has advised that we may have to make another pass at the weeds soon.  There was some concern with the membership about killing the weeds under the flight tables, which will leave mud in its place.  A show of hands was asked for and the vote was 8 to 3 for not killing the weeds.

New Business:  A motion was made to hold future meetings at the Triangle Boat Club in Tavares.  A motion made by Bill Beck and seconded by Ken Mullins.

50-50 Drawing:  President Tom Craig won the $10  50-50 raffle and donated it back to the club.
