We had so much fun at the March 2026 Fun Fly that we chose another perfect Florida day for another one in May! We celebrated the recent addition of RC Cars to our club’s activities with an opening ceremony featuring an RC car flag parade to honor the military services. Afterwards, the car guys did their best to destroy their little cars and motorcycles for the crowd’s amusement. Then, Marc Drath demonstrated amazing helicopter aerobatics, and then sprained our necks trying to follow his 120mph speed plane. Vance Lorenzana flew his beautiful dragon kite RC conversion just for the ooh’s and ah’s. A trio of master aviators swept all of the competitive events: Bob Osorio, Carl Angleberger, and Bob Smith. The ladies auxiliary pitched in again to serve up yummy free hotdogs, baked beans, and cookies.
Once again, the crowd was estimated at something less than a million!
