You can’t have too much fun! So to celebrate the new runway, we had one last blowout on the old one!
No pressure, no events, just fun, burgers and a few perennial showoffs! Weather was SPECTACULAR! First cool day Fall day! It barely broke 80, with mild winds, perfect flying and fun weather.
Rick Smith, Marc Drath, and Dave Field provided the aerial lunch entertainment, and then Mike Milhorn, Dave Field, and Rick Smith jumped their monster cars and motorcycles and drag raced down the runway. Meanwhile, DJ Bob Lavarnway had us all grooving to the sounds of the 70’s.
The ladies auxiliary pitched in again to serve up yummy free BURGERS, baked beans, and cookies.
And as always, the crowd was estimated at something less than a million!
