We’re getting a new runway!

At the Sept 5 meeting, it was decided to move forward with a major renovation of the runway, to address the dangerous washouts. We’re getting a clay foundation instead of the gravel that washed out, with an improved waterproof membrane and runway fabric.

And the best part — IT’S GOING TO BE BIGGER!  300 feet total and five feet wider!  At least 30 extra feet for your jet to slow down! (your humble Webmaster might someday even locate the runway on short final!)

It’s not going to be cheap, and may be a pretty big hit to our emergency fund.  But the good news is that YOU CAN HELP!
